Seven Deadly Sins of Makeup

Well I have to give a huge thank you to Elese over at Elese, Aesthete for tagging me in this! I was genuinely reading through her ‘seven deadly sins’ and thinking, gosh this is cool I really want to do this and lo and behold she had tagged me in it! Thank you so much Elese! If you guys haven’t checked her out yet you must! She is a fab New Zealander with lipstick to die for AND she posts daily. It doesn’t get better than that!

So here, are my Seven Deadly Sins! (Insert creepy ‘oooooh’ sound)

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?

IMG_0765Definitely the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, at $77AUD it is very indulgent and very expensive. But in my opinion? Totally worth it.

Wrath: What item do you have a love/hate relationship with?

IMG_0767The Maybelline Colour Tattoo in ‘Bad to the Bronze’. Sometimes I like it, and most of the time I just hate it. I just don’t get the hype with these ones.

Gluttony: What brand takes up most of your collection?

IMG_0777Even though I have all the Urban Decay Naked Palettes, and a hell of a lot of Benefit and Nars, MAC still stands out as the brand I have the most of in my collection. Some of it I love, some of it I don’t love. But over all, it is a hyped up makeup brand because it is really high quality makeup.

Sloth: What product do you neglect the most due to laziness?

IMG_0780MAC Lip Pencil in Nightmoth and MAC Lipstick in Cyber. God I love these two, like genuinely my favourite lipstick. But it is a big commitment to put this on, and a commitment to put it on all day. You basically cannot drink, eat or anything with this on. I love it but I am lazy, especially when I am mostly just putting my make up on to head to uni.

Pride: What product gives you the most confidence?

IMG_0769Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. I just feel super pretty when I wear this stuff. I love you baby, never leave me.

Lust: Which item is top of your beauty wish list?

The YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in No. 5 Fushia in Excess has been calling my name for so long. I mean look at that packaging. It kills me how beautiful it is.

Envy: Which makeup product/look is great on others but not on you?

Nude lips. Oh my goodness nude lips. It just looks appalling on me! So many people talk about their ‘perfect’ nude but I just cannot find any nude that looks in any way decent on me. I’ve just given up. It looks so incredible on so many people, especially Lauren Curtis on Youtube, but I just can’t pull it off. Lyk if u cried erry time.

So thats it! My Seven Deadly Sins of Makeup! This was a really fun tag so I’m going to tag everyone! Seriously if you’ve read this please do this tag and let me know if you do it! This was so fun!

But I am going to quickly tag:

Bri at Bri Loves Tea

Tash at Natasha Sofia

Bridget at Bridget Blogs Beauty

Louise at Louise Amy

You guys have to do this! I had a ball doing it!

Also if you haven’t noticed Cassieandara has had a face lift! Have a geez, check it all out and let me know in the comments if you like the changes!

Much love!

-Cassie

  1. I bought one of the ysl lipsticks when I was in America and my god is it incredible!

The packaging more than anything is so worth it, its so silly but I feel all class when I apply it.

Thanks for the tag! Will get on it pretty laaaaaadddddaaaayyy 😉

  2. A great way to make nude lips a little easier to wear is to mix it in with either a peach or a pastel pink lipstick to offset the undertone. As you look fairer, from your profile pic, any true nudes on us will just whitewash out the rest of the face – I always add an illuminator or bronzer, or both if going lighter on the lips. Good luck!
