I found this tag on ‘Girl Uninterrupted‘ and I loved the look of it so I thought I’d do it here! Let’s go!
Blush or Bronzer?
Bronzer forever and always. My cheeks get red enough during the day that I never need blush, but I am pale so bronzer helps warm my face up and add dimension to it. Benefit’s Hoola bronzer is my absolute holy grail bronzer. It’s matte and perfect, I will never understand glittery bronzers and why they exist.
Lip Gloss or Lipstick?
Lipstick. I’m sorry but I can’t stand the stickiness of Lip Gloss and I don’t think I ever will be able to. My latest purchases have been Lady Danger by Mac and no.19 Gabrielle by Chanel. They’re both statement colours and are unbelievably beautiful.
Chapstick or Lip butter?
Lip butter, Sorry Katy Perry.
Matte or Sparkle Eyeshadow?
If my answer to question number one didn’t make this obvious enough, I only use matte anything basically. I love a bit of sparkle for a night out but I’m a matte girl through and through for the majority of the time I wear makeup.
Gel, Liquid, Cream or Pencil Liner?
Gel/Liquid. As annoying as it is for me to choose both, it’s my answer. I love the look of both gel and liquid liner, but not the others. I use Benefit They’re Real Liner and Mac Fluidline in Blacktrack for Gel Liner, and Nutrimetics Liquid Liner and Rimmel Scandaleyes for Liquid Liner.
Foundation or Concealer?
Foundation. I rarely wear concealer but I don’t go a day without at least a bb cream or a light foundation. Nars Sheer Glow covers my face enough that I never feel the need for concealer unless I have a breakout.
Liquid or Powder Foundation?
Liquid. I’ve always found powder to cake my face to the extreme. That said I haven’t tried powder in a very long time so I’d be interested in trying it again to see how it would go now. I would be interested in trying the Bare Minerals powders as I’ve heard so many amazing things!
Neutral or Statement eye?
Oooooh this is a tough one. I definitely focus on my eyes more than my lips, but I rarely do what I would consider a ‘statement’ eye. I thing the method of ‘less is more’ is my go to for eye makeup. That’s just my look, there’s girls that look incredible with a statement eye but it just doesn’t work with me. My go-to for making my eye look pop is Benefit’s They’re Real Liner.
Pressed or Loose shadows?
Pressed. I am enough of a mess as it is without loose shadows going all over me. My absolute favourite has to be the Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette.
Waterproof or Non Waterproof?
Non Waterproof. I struggle with getting makeup off at the end of the day already, let alone with waterproof makeup making it even harder. I never wear makeup in the water, and I don’t really find much makeup on my face at the end of the day to need waterproof makeup.
Brushes, Sponges or Fingers?
Brushes! I love brushes so much, I don’t know what I ever did without them. I’ve been using the Real Techniques brushes for years and I adore them. I just picked up my first Sigma brush so a review of that will be up soon!
Powder, Cream or Liquid Highlighters?
Cream! I’ve fallen in love with Benefit’s High Beam and its a cream highlighter. Although this may change with my soon-to-be purchased Hourglass powder!
And that’s it! I tag you all to do this as well, it was lots of fun.
Have a great week guys!
