I am a lover of the sitcom and all TV really. So Christmas Specials are like my crack. I live of this stuff!
I’ve got a few favourites to share with you. First up is Parks and Recreation’s Christmas episode ‘Citizen Knope’. The best thing about this show is the amount of love all the characters have for each other. It’s positivity is something I love, I think more in reaction to the deadpan ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ era of TV where nothing could be happy. It’s a brilliant show and quite possibly my favourite of all time, and one of my favourite Christmas specials.
The UK version of The Office’s Christmas special is still one of the best things I’ve ever seen on television. My favourite bit is the coming together of two people who you wanted to be together since day one. I still tear up thinking about it as it’s such a perfect moment.
The last favourite I’m going to share with you is an episode from Community called ‘Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas’. Community is another one of my favourite shows and this episode is a stand out. Not only is it in stop motion, and allows you to see the characters in clay, it has an amazing story in it. The last shot of the clay gang watching tv, and the real gang in the reflection, is one of my favourite shots of the entire show.
Whats your favourite episode to watch about Christmas? Let me know!
