Gwen Stefani x Urban Decay

aka my dreams coming true

When one of your all time favourite singers and one of your all time favourite brands come together for a collaboration, you know you’re going to be throwing your money in that general direction until something appears in your hands. The thing that finally appeared is the incredible Urban Decay and Gwen Stefani Collaboration Eyeshadow Palette.

The amazing thing is that Gwen was very present in the creation of the palette, helping with the design and basically curating a palette specifically for her. Something that she would wear daily and love. It certainly shows in the creation, all of the shades are reminiscent of her everchanging style, and have a great range of colours and textures.

The shades are listed on MECCA’s website:

Includes shadows in: Blonde, pale beige with pink iridescent shift; Bathwater, pale beige with gold pearl; Skimp, pale nude satin; Steady, medium rose with metallic gold; Punk, reddish brown matte; Baby, cool metallic rose; Anaheim, light taupe-brown matte; Stark, nude-pink matte; Zone, medium brown matte; Serious, smokey grey with iridescent floating pearl; Pop, pale coral with sparkle; Harajuku, metallic blue-pink with shimmer; Danger, deep metallic royal blue with sparkle; 1987, bright metallic yellow-gold; and Blackout, blackest black matte.

All in all, this palette is versatile, long wearing and a dream to blend out. I brought this with me to Japan and it’s the only palette I brought. This is the first time I’ve gone overseas and only brought one palette with me so I think that’s a pretty good sign! There’s so many things to choose from and each colour is wearable, which I can’t say for every palette that I own! I wore the ‘Harajuku’ shade as liner on my day in Harajuku, and I loved it!

What do you think? Do you love Gwen as well? What’s your favourite song? Let me know!

Much Love,
